Just Be

A few weeks back I shared with a group of my dear friends, how anxious and frustrated I had become about things in my life that were just not moving along as fast as I had planned. Re-launching my own business this year has been challenging and very rewarding. As a “goal” keeper, I set what I thought were fair monthly goals with some built in “stretch”. I knew what services I would be offering, allowed for the ramp up time, and dug in to developing new relationships locally and through social media.

After about six months I wasn’t where I wanted to be, and in spite of some very exhausting days from sun up to sun down I started feeling discouraged, frustrated even burdened with my new venture. My wonderful mentors where there supporting me, the business was growing, I was meeting hundreds of new people expanding the ability to help more people with my business but I was so critical of what I had not accomplished. That’s when I heard it.

“Just Be.”

“Really? Just be what? Just be where? Just be how?”

As a Color Code Facilitator I have learned I’m a Red, with a secondary Blue. What does that mean? Well, in the nutshell, I’m all about moving from point A to point B – getting the job done. I am a maniac for being handed challenging lofty strategic projects. It fuels my soul to dig in and make it happen. I don’t like wasting time and I am so determined to get the job done well. My strengths include being a leader, focused, assertive, and proactive visionary. And since I have been facilitating this training and reading Dr. Taylor Hartman’s books The People Code and Playing Life to Win, I have been diligently working on my personal and professional character development to embrace my strengths and overcome my limitations.

Why “Just Be”?

As a woman of faith, I needed to hear from my heavenly Father this powerful message, “Just Be”. The first thing I did was breath, several long slow deep breathes. Then I smiled. I laughed out loud and shook my head and said, “thank you”. Just Be – was a profound realization for me. We have been given unique talents and strengths for a purpose. As you seek and connect with that purpose, your trust and faith in your Creator, allows you to enjoy the journey. It opens up the possibility to have exhilarating fun doing what you do! Not just being a slave or taskmaster to checking items off a to do list. It builds self-confidence and the confidence in knowing the Master of the Universe wants you to embrace love, for how intricately wonderful you have been made. To take on challenges trusting, knowing and believing there is already a path in place for you to take, one day at a time.

Today, as I went for my daily run, I listened to a Daily Hope message by Pastor Rick Warren. As I listened I was reminded of the message given to me, “Just Be” because what Pastor Rick shares in this message reinforces and deepens your conscious understanding of our heavenly Father’s love. I also thought about my new friend Wendi Liechty, Founder and Intuitive Business Coach who’s business card prominently displays BE, because she too has found her purpose helping women to breakthrough, believe and become what they were purposed.

If you find your days running together in a whirlwind of exhaustion, without fulfillment or direction, or just stuck with no vision, I want to encourage you to reach out for help.
